Excellent car service for both my Subarus. Very fair pricing, honest about what's truly, needed when car is brought in. They will give you idea on fixing things yourself if you ask as they are highly knowlegable. Have done timing belt service, brakes, wheel Bearings, and even had them install used motor in my old forester. Driving it a year and a half now and no issues. Highly recommended.

Went here to get my brakes looked at after moving to the area. Izzy and he team we're really friendly and went out of here way to find the parts I needed for the install. They had free soft drinks and have a Roku that customers can stream videos and shows while passing the time. All in all a great experience. Will be returning for sure.

I take all my cars Auto Science which is now in Carrollton, Texas.  They have changed my timing belt and water pump on my Lexus IS300.  They Installed a supercharger kit on it too. They built the KA24DET motor in my Kouki 240sx.   Fixed an electrical issue with my girl friends BMW 325i  and installed a Hard dog roll bar in my Toyota MR2 Spyder.   They have a few loaner cars too.  But like all auto shops be sure to call ahead and book if you need one.  They specialize in Subaru, Lexus, and Toyota but they can work just about any car.

I have been pretty lazy writing reviews online but I would like to single out Ryan @AutoScience because he saved me from buying a bad car that didn't have any accident history on the Car Report. He is crazy knowledgeable...like insanely...my dad was a mechanic for 15 years and I am somewhat an enthusiast when it comes to cars and felt somewhat confident about being knowledgeable about cars but I wanted a second opinion before buying a car. (Which everyone should do when buying a used car because you will never know half the things wrong with a car unless a trained mechanic takes a look at it)...AutoScience does it for FREE (FTW)!!! But please whatever you do ask to take it to a certified mechanic before you buy (Preferably AutoScience) and if they try and give you a hard time about it be firm...cause you never know what lurks beneath the hood...  So I called into AutoScience and asked if they would do a pre-sale inspection on a 2008 Lexus IS250 and Ryan said that it wouldn't be a problem as long as you give them a heads up 30min-1hr it should be cool. I have been searching for awhile for this car and thought I found one at a good price. I arrived with my sales guy and Ryan took about 15 minutes and came back to me with a very weary look and told me he found a "couple of things". First off the water pump needed replacing...common issue when it comes to is250's, he said it would be around a $600 dollar job...ok I took that on the chin and felt like that wasn't so bad. Than he tells me that the stock AMP is blown out and there is no bass coming out from the stock sub...another common problem with this model car...ok took another one to the chin but again it isn't something too terrible that couldn't be easily fixed. Than came the final blow...the uppercut to the face...he said the car had been in a pretty bad accident...both me and the sales guy (he came with me from the dealership and was super cool about the whole thing) looked pretty surprised...than he goes on to tell us that the car was hit in the back right fender...the back door was misaligned(wasn't flush with the fender so it came out a bit but I couldn't tell until I stared at it) the back fender, the back bumper and the back right door were all a different color. After staring at it I could tell that they were all a different shade...that particular color (Starfire Pearl) is almost next to impossible to match from what Ryan said so he noticed that right away...the inner wheel well had splashes of paint on it, indicating that the door/fender had been repainted recently...ok but was there frame damage...how could you tell??(Asked the sales guy and me) Well he pointed to the subframe behind the back tire (which I could barely see) and said that it is definitely bent in about an 1/8 of an inch and it is not perfectly horizontal how it should be...I was floored...the sales guy couldn't believe it...Nothing came up on the car history report so I didn't think there would have been major stuff wrong with it but again...that's why I got it checked out to be sure. A car is an investment of a lot of money and doing the due diligence is important because you can end up with a car that is unsafe to drive. Ryan is very meticulous and showed his range of knowledge and experience within 30 minutes...I couldn't thank him enough for saving me from buying an unsafe car. I will sing his praises to anyone who is willing to listen and even those who aren't. He will be seeing me again...hopefully with a car worth buying Oh yeah he has a couple of arcade machines, a pool table and TV in his waiting area inside his shop so yeah pretty sick

I had a pre owned lexus rx 350 taken to AutoScience for a pre purchase inspection and did it free of charge!  They were able to point a few things out that I went back to the dealership asking them to fix it.  If I lived in Carrollton I would definitely take my car there.

Autoscience is owned by a model honest mechanic who knows his cars and treats his customers fairly. I was glad I stumbled upon it when looking for places to have a prepurchase inspection done on a used Subaru.  He knew instantly on seeing under the hood that the car had been in a collision that hadn't been in the Carfax report and what its actual worth was. Glad he helped me avoid that purchase mistake. Better yet, he did the prepurchase inspection for free! It's always a good sign when a proprietor cares about customer loyalty.  They do mainly engine work, seem to keep pretty busy too, but I still got an appointment the same day and the owner gave me his full attention and honest opinion, as well as being upfront about the cost of parts.  I would definitely return and recommend them.

I drove from Houston to Dallas to look at a used lexus. When I got there the car looked good enough but felt weird when I drove it. The dealer assured me it was normal but I wanted a second opinion. I found autoscience and gave them a call and they told me to bring it in. They took if for a test drive and did a diagnostic exam. After about 45 minutes they informed me that the ABS and AC systems were faulty and that it would cost upwards of $4000 to repair. They then printed out their report so that I could get my deposit back. They then gave me some insight to the common issues surrounding that model and even some recommendations as to other, similar models with better records. And to top it off, it was free. Very honest, professional people. Would do business with again.

I brought my 2013 Subaru Legacy here for a scheduled maintenance service after the Subaru dealership quoted me almost double the cost of what Auto Science did.  Auto Science was so helpful over the phone, explaining to me why the cost was lower, and all the things that were included in the maintenance service.  I also asked them to check my oil as my car seems to consume more oil than it should between oil changes.  They explained to me that Subaru just finished up a lawsuit on this very thing.  They performed an oil consumption test and explained how they would call the dealership for me if I need to have that fixed.  That is definitely going above and beyond for customer service!  Ryan was so nice and took the time to explain his business model to me and what he looks for in employees.  His business model is on-point and it shows.  He was professional yet approachable,  and didn't treat me like a 'dumb woman' as so many dealerships do.  And the best part?  The quote I received over the phone was exactly what I paid for my service.  They didn't try to up-charge anything.  I really appreciated the time they spent on my car.  I would recommend these guys to anyone.  They definitely got a lifetime customer in me!

Wow!  These guys are AWESOME!   I never thought I'd find a car repair shop that I would recommend to everyone!  I am from Alaska and me and my 2002 Subaru Forester have gone almost 200,000 miles together.  I've needed all sorts of small repairs and some large ones even.  These guys not only have quality customer service, but they have quality repairs too!  I have used them for the last two years to get my Alaskan car back up to my Dallas standards.  I am so thankful to have found them and wish I could take them back to Alaska with me!  As a flight attendant, I may just have to fly them up to visit Alaska and do a few repairs while they are there!   Thank you Ryan for a great shop, great repairs, and an overall great experience.  I would recommend them to EVERYONE who drives a Subaru!  (and Toyota and Lexus, as they work on those too) Awesome guard dog too! They are an outstanding auto repair shop. I was about to embark on a 500 mile move pulling a trailer when my alternator went out. Ryan was short 2 mechanics but agreed to do the work himself to help me out.  He also lent me his vehicle so I could pick up my trailer. The work was done quickly and came with a 2 year warranty.  They have done all the work on my Toyota 4Runner and in my opinion are the best mechanics around. My only concern, now that I've moved, who will I use? I would highly recommend them to anyone needing auto repair.

NOBODY better. For real!! I began by bringing my 2003 Subaru Forester to Ryan and his gang back in 2013. They are the first shop to talk to me as though I could actually follow their explanation of the mechanics of my car... even with my wee female brain, they trusted that I would want to know what was going on and have honored me by speaking to me like a human.  The Auto Science guys truly love Subarus and Subaru owners. They are able to assess everything that's not going perfectly with my vehicles and give it to me straight. Meanwhile, they don't try to persuade me into expensive fixes or shame me for not always having the money to do what should really be done. So life-saving to find a shop that balances skill with a lack of pretention.  Ryan, the shop's owner, is a true car nerd and when my Subie reached the end of his life with me, he broke the news directly. Then he helped me decide between Honda and Toyota/Lexus by giving the cars I was interviewing a free inspection. He loves putting used cars through the gauntlet and sticking it to shady car salesmen. Ryan has a long history working service at Sewell, so I knew when he gave the used Lexus SUV his seal of approval that it wouldn't let me down. Romero has worked on both my Subaru and Lexus and gives it the kind of TLC he'd give his mother's car. The shop also keeps my mom's 2001 Honda CRV running with almost no issues in its 15 years.  My mom and I have both been blown away by these guys. As others have said, they are completely honest, no tricks, know their stuff inside and out, and bend over backwards for customers. If you decide to use them--treat them right! Auto Science loyalists like me have their back! They deserve all the respect and praise in the world.

Brought in a Nissan NV2500 HD Cargo van for a pre-purchase inspection. Glad I did, they found about $2,200.00 bucks worth of repairs that need to be done. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about trucks but they found things I would never have thought to look at.  Working with the dealer to either get the items fixed of the price dropped. The $50 bucks I spent was well worth it!   I also want to give a shout out to the mechanics, nice guys, very thorough.

This place is legit. Best mechanic I have been to and I have family members in the business...  They are honest, SUPER KNOWLEDGEABLE, go the extra mile, and truly understand customer service.  Their prices are more than fair and while I'm sure you can find a cheaper alternative somewhere else you will end up paying more $$$ in the long run and not have the peace of mind that I do when I leave their shop. These guys won't cut corners and will have your car in tip top mechanical shape. They are thorough, detail-oriented, and obviously have a real passion for a job well done... They are about an hour out of the way for me but they are totally worth it.  Go here - you won't regret it.

Great group of folks.  We went for an estimate on my gas tank and then went to install a new rear view mirror on my new Nissan Rogue. Did a great job on the rear view mirror and didn't charge us more even though they underestimated the job when we first called.  We called on Saturday morning and they got us in that afternoon. Another year later and this place is still going strong! - I brought my ol' Forester in for a checkup before I go on a long trip.  Ryan and his crew gave it a good looking over and fixed a couple things for me.  What's great is my stupid Forester's steering wheel used to shake when I was stopped at a red light.  No more!  It's smooth sailing now.  Awesome!  They also said everything else looks to be in excellent shape, which was good to hear. - I'm bringing it back in to have more work done on it.  You know if video games you can like upgrade your car?  Give it better gas mileage, more horsepower, etc?  Well you can do that in real life, too!  And this place will do it!  I'm having the downpipe or downtube or whatever replaced.  I'm also having it tuned up, which is a day-long process.  I'm told my car will be like a whole new animal, with increased horsepower and better gas mileage.  It's like a doctor's office for Subarus! - They've maintained their waiting lobby - there are more video games there now.  There's a big one with an emulator inside - dozens of games there to play while you wait.  The dog is gone - they keep her at home now.  I love this place and I'm sad to be moving away because my baby is losing her mechanic!

Another solid review for Auto Science! I worked with another mechanic in Lewisville a couple of months prior to finding Auto Science. The first mechanic couldn't diagnose the problem that even I was later able to diagnose as a blown head gasket in my 2004 Accord.  I started calling around to check prices and despite Auto Science's impressive resume, they were amount the top 3 most affordable. After learning that the work comes with a 2 year warranty, and speaking with Ryan for what seemed like an extended period of time, I decide to schedule the repair. It was done on time and for the price quoted. I wasn't gouged for extra expenses  like most places would do. I paid what we had discussed the prices would be. The shop is clean and the staff is friendly. I am 32 years old and have finally found a mechanic that I can call "my mechanic." I will be back!

I called them about a transmission issue on my Subaru. I told them that I was 50 miles or so away and my car was at a local repair shop. I explained my problem and they told me what I needed to replace in order to repair it. It saved me $5,000. So when I was looking for a place that would install my LED headlights in my GMC truck alot of shops and dealers turned me down because of the kind of lights I had. But when my husband found this place he did it with no problem. Even had it done the same day we brought it in.  Since then we had an issue with our motor back window which they replaced and fixed. And just last week we had to replace a rim,shock, and some bent rod on our Prius. This has been our come to auto mechanic since these guys installed our headlights. They know what they're doing and our very trustworthy.  I highly recommend these guys!!

I'm surprised these guys don't have more high reviews, brought my Subaru outback in just this morning after hearing a bad noise from the right head. I got to there shop around 11 on a Saturday and they told me the wonder would be in later to look at it and see if it would be covered under warranty. The work had been done under the last owner and technically is non-transferrable. Ryan(the owner) came in on a Saturday to do the tear down on my engine and two hours later had my car back on the road. That is some amazing service and knowledge. I will not even think about bringing my Subaru to another shop, this is the place to go!

I went in for a brake job, expecting to have them tell me I needed new rotors along with the pads. (Like every other shop does).  They were able to turn my old rotors and do both front and back brakes for about what other shops wanted for just one axle.   These guys are informative, honest and the people who own the shop run it.  They know cars and will treat you right.  Wherever I move, I always look around for an honest, knowledgeable shop with reasonable prices.  These guys are it for me!!!

I've been a Subaru guy for the last decade and I've dealt with a lot of shops over the years. I'm very picky about who I take my car to and I do my research. I have a Legacy GT wagon and when my motor went out, I trusted the guys at Auto Science to do a proper, reliable rebuild. I haven't been disappointed! Ryan is incredibly knowledgeable about these cars and he will tell you the truth. Their shop is incredibly clean and their engine build room is sealed off and spotless like you would want it to be. Some shops see a blown motor and try to extract the maximum amount of cash from you as possible and want to convince you to do unnecessary things. Ryan will give you good, solid advice. Dustin built my engine and it runs great! He also tuned it and it's a good, safe tune. I've been working with them for about 6 months off and on and it's been great. In my research, I talked to all the other shops in town that everyone's heard of about my build and I went with Auto Science because I got the best feeling that they had my interests at heart with the bonus of not costing as much as the others. I'm glad I went with Auto Science.

Great Service !! I scheduled install of Running boards on my SUV. Auto Science was recommended via Amazon Services when I bought the Step board to install from Amazon. From scheduling the appointment to completion of the work was so much hassle and gimmick free !! Person at front office was very courteous. Cost of complete work was definitely at average compared to other shops. Additionally, shop has basic amenities for the customer including self-make coffee/tea, free sodas/water and complementary Wifi ! Overall satisfied with their service and definitely recommended !!

I have only used them once, but I did use them from the Yelp reviews. They were courteous on the phone when I called. Did what they said they would do to my sons car. Did it promptly and fixed the problem. Price was more then fair. Looked up on internet approximate price for the job. It said between 190-500 and they did it for 200. Will be giving them a try again.

These guys are great! The owner Ryan is extremely knowledgable about cars. He is a straight talker. When they present an issue that they have found with my car, they always give me the option to do what I want with that information. I have never felt pressured to immediately have work done at Autoscience. When I have a problem I take  my car in and they give me a guess to the problem that I have described and they give me high low ballpark range of cost. The cost is usually somewhat lower than the high ballpark cost(worst case scenario.) I know I am just a random reviewer, but I thoroughly trust these guys.

Found the only mechanic I'll let work on my Foz.  Made the mistake of going to the Huffines Subaru dealer- wrong filter, oil and a check engine light led me here.  Romero handled my '14 Forester XT and got it running as good as new.  He was very knowledgable and honest.  He personally showed me the conclusions he made about what work needed to be done.  I can't emphasize enough how much that meant to me.  So glad to have found this place in the DFW area.  Never going to a dealer again.

Got my exhaust done here, and many more to come, because I just found my go-to mechanics. Rest of the shops in DFW don't even come close to these guys when it comes to Japanese Imports. I've had my car here quite a lot, due to the previous owner and another shop messing up just about every inch of the car to a nigh impressive degree. It's also a bit of an uncommon rig - a 02 WRX with a JDM motor and ECU - so finding a shop that could work on it showed itself to be a challenge itself The team at autoscience has been EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire ordeal of fixing my car. They've been completely upfront about anything going on with the car before working on it and don't try and push unnecessary parts or labor, and would often work to find more wallet-friendly options.  Overall, I have been extremely impressed by their transparency, clear communication, and their very high personal quality standards for their work. I would happily recommend them to anyone in the DFW area, especially for Subarus.

He spent time with me to show me how to change my head gaskets, what to look out for, and even wrote down my torque ratings and sequence. The parts he recommended were not only quality, but an upgrade from OEM and should prevent future head gasket and overheating issues. It took me a while to find a honest, fair and trustworthy auto repair.  Would absolutely recommend to anyone at least call them before you go to somewhere else.  Here's my experience: I went there to replace my brake pads and rotors, but the rotors I bought from amazon wouldn't fit. They could really overcharge me since the old parts had already been dismantled. However they ordered the parts immediately and finished the work within one hour, and didn't charge me for extra labor cost. They provided me a list of recommend works, and told me feel free to check the parts price on amazon again, and they will match the price for the parts.

I took my car to get an oil change, passenger and driver side oil separator install, intake install, and an alignment. Izzy was my advisor and took great care of me. I don’t remember his name but the mechanic who installed the catch cans showed them to me in detail and how to easily remove them to drain them. Waiting area was nice with refreshments and comfortable seating. The wait was about two hours which I thought was very reasonable considering the amount of work. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend this shop to anyone.

If you are a Subaru owner look no further. THIS IS THE PLACE! The waiting area is clean and spacious. Ryan and his staff are great people to deal with. They're friendly and professional people.  I brought in my Subaru with several issues. They explained what the issues were and provide me with a quote on what it would take to fix it. Big shout out for the guys at auto science, I got my exhaust done here, and the quality and experience is just amazing. If you love your car, or cars in general, this is THE PLACE! Rest of the shops in DFW don't even come close when it comes to Japanese Imports. Ryan is a straight talker with some serious in-depth knowledge on cars, I love talking with him, because I can learn so much. People work there not only have strong trade skills, but also have a desire to step up the game. Multiple guys are getting there Mechanical Engineering degrees. Most importantly, they LOVE cars, and KNOW cars. They got a temperature-controlled, dust-controlled engine room, the only show on the TV in the shop is Top Gear or Car Related. This past weekend I drove to Dallas from Houston to look at a used lexus. The car looked good enough but I wanted to get a professional, 3rd party opinion. I called autoscience and they told me to bring it in. The people working there were very upfront and friendly. After driving the car and doing a quick diagnostic they determined the ABS was faulty as well as some of the AC motors and it would cost upwards of 4k to replace. They provided a print out of their diagnosis so that I could take it back to the dealer and get my deposit refunded. On top of that it was totally free! They even provided insight as to the general problems of the model and alternatives to consider. Extremely knowledgeable, honest and straight-forward group of people. I would definitely work with them again.

I've been a Subaru guy for the last decade and I've dealt with a lot of shops over the years. I'm very picky about who I take my car to and I do my research. I have a Legacy GT wagon and when my motor went out, I trusted the guys at Auto Science to do a proper, reliable rebuild. I haven't been disappointed! Ryan is incredibly knowledgeable about these cars and he will tell you the truth. Their shop is incredibly clean and their engine build room is sealed off and spotless like you would want it to be. Some shops see a blown motor and try to extract the maximum amount of cash from you as possible and want to convince you to do unnecessary things. Ryan will give you good, solid advice. Dustin built my engine and it runs great! He also tuned it and it's a good, safe tune. I've been working with them for about 6 months off and on and it's been great. In my research, I talked to all the other shops in town that everyone's heard of about my build and I went with Auto Science because I got the best feeling that they had my interests at heart with the bonus of not costing as much as the others. I'm glad I went with Auto Science.

My car (02 WRX, EJ207) swap is a bit of a problem child, for almost a year now. When the shop names your car "mutant," you know it's bad. Just about everything except the transmission and struts has been replaced at least once, some of it multiple times (3 steering racks, 3 down pipes), and I lost track of how many times the ECU wiring has been repaired. Through all of this, Autoscience has been exceptionally helpful and gone above and beyond to provide wonderful service and impressive quality of work. From re-wiring issues over and over again, to helping me on the side of the road, to fixing issues caused by the previous shop, the team at autoscience has solidly set themselves as the only shop that I'll take my Subaru to for any work.
